While we have 25 registered Financial Advisers who are directly responsible for providing Financial Advice, they couldn’t do their jobs without the Investment Team, the Technical Analysts, Personal Assistants, Administrators, and all of our great back office staff who do so much to assist them.
Strength in depth is one area which really sets us apart. We have built a team of long-serving staff who are knowledgeable and experienced, but even more importantly they really care about our clients’ outcomes and want to do the best for them every time.
Although we have grown over the years, we have worked hard to maintain the family feel to the company. Each client is valued and gets a personal service tailored to them.

Louisa joined Almary Green in 2008 and was appointed the S&P Group’s Personnel Manager when the firms combined operations in October 2018. She became an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Personal Development (CIPD) in 2016. She is a firm believer in building strong relationships across the business. In her role at S&P, Louisa is the first port of call for HR matters in the firm. This involves providing guidance and support for team managers, handling recruitment across the group and coordinating the introduction and updating of staff policies.
Louisa started her career with a 12 year period in the Royal Navy which saw her undertake a variety of junior management roles both at sea and ashore. She is married with one son and enjoys long walks with their lively Cavapoo, Ambrose. She also loves relaxing with friends, especially if a spa day can be involved.
Teresa joined S&P as our Marketing Officer in 2002, becoming Marketing & Communications Manager in 2003, having previously worked for Norwich Union and a number of other firms in the financial services sector. Teresa manages the firm’s marketing activities and communications including advertising, promotions, events, PR, digital marketing, shows and exhibitions. She is often required to think creatively and innovatively, particularly with the graphic design element of her role. During this time she has used her skills in all channels of marketing including online, print and social media to help build the S&P brand it is today.
Teresa’s ability to think outside the box has helped to build the excellent and trusted reputation that S&P enjoys throughout East Anglia. Outside work, Teresa spends time with her husband and family members. Holidays are a high priority for the family: they love to plan where their next adventure will lead them.
Kayleigh joined S&P in 2008, having worked for a smaller firm locally before that. Her role as our Operations Manager covers a very wide range of responsibilities which means that every day is different. It encompasses anything from management of team training to generating management reports. She is responsible for our back-office systems and works with teams to ensure that this continues to meet our needs for both clients and the management team. She also assists with the management of our offices in Eaton, Lowestoft and Holt.
Kayleigh loves the collaborative nature of her work, working with colleagues to ensure that the firm is constantly honing its processes for the benefit of the client. She has a young daughter who likes to keep her busy. Outside work, Kayleigh tries to find as many new places for Afternoon Tea in Norfolk and Suffolk as she can and writes a blog about her search.
Margaret joined the S&P accounts team in 1994 as an accounts technician. Her earlier career included training with a local firm of accountants before working as a Senior Accounts Assistant for a business that was, in 1981, acquired by S&P. Her current role is as the manager of our accounts team, providing oversight and organisation of the tasks and functions of the department. In addition, she prepares management accounts and reports, liaising with the firm’s Accountants, Auditors, Directors and Senior Managers.
Margaret completed her Institute of Accounting Staff qualifications in 1978 and has developed her knowledge and experience throughout her career. She is married with three grown-up daughters and has – so far – one grandchild. She is a brass instrumentalist and has been playing in a Brass Band since 1981 and in a Brass Quintet – of which she was a founder member – since 2004.
Jerry joined Almary Green – acquired by S&P in 2019 – in June 2012. His financial services experience reaches back as far as 1985 when he started work at the Halifax Building Society in Norwich. He has since been a Broker Consultant for insurance companies and an Independent Financial Adviser. However, his supervisory skills and all-round technical knowledge led him to move into a Compliance role. Jerry now holds the position of Associate Director – Compliance at S&P, working with the rest of the team to ensure that we are well positioned to meet the industry challenges that lay ahead.
Jerry holds the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Diploma in Financial Planning, including the advanced examinations in pensions and retirement planning. He is married with two daughters and keeps fit by running and going to the gym. He has previously been involved with Blofield United Football Club for many years as a player, manager and club chairman. He can still be found there most Saturday afternoons supporting the team.
Darren joined Almary Green in April 2007 as the senior administrator, moving on to office manager and operations manager roles during his time there. After Smith & Pinching acquired Almary Green in October 2018, he joined Karen as one of the Group’s Facilities and Resources Managers and now looks after all aspects of the Health and Safety, IT and Telecoms, facilities and utilities at their offices. He is also a member of the ESG committee, helping to bring in measures that will improve the company’s impact on the planet.
Away from work, he usually spends his time taking one of his sons to a swimming session, walking the dog, or following Rugby Union – or trying to combine all three at once.
Karen originally joined S&P back in 1983 working at their office on Riverside Road, and then Hall Road where she managed the Halifax Agency. She left in 1986 to pursue other avenues, re-joining in 1999 as Marketing Assistant, her task to oversee the building of the Company’s first 2 websites. She then took up the role of Facilities Manager for the company, responsible for IT, telecommunications, the buildings, company cars, and stationery, among other things. She is also the Company’s Fire Officer.
Karen has one grown-up son, no grandchildren yet! She enjoys spending time with her family, wild swimming (in all weathers!), bee keeping – she has a hive in her garden, walking her lovable Brittany Jimmy, is an avid reader and a member of her local WI.

After some 23 years of providing advice to his many clients, John decided that the time was right to hang up his advising boots. He will remain within the S&P fold however, and is now Business Development Manager. This role will see John work with our professional connections to further establish the S&P name and its services.
In semi-retirement now, John can concentrate even more on lowering his golf handicap (proving to be more difficult, he says!) and following Norwich City at Carrow Road and around the country.
Having been a financial adviser with banks, building societies and Smith & Pinching for over 40 years it was time for Nigel to consider retirement.
However, Nigel’s valuable experience is not lost to us because in his new role as Business Development Manger, he has the opportunity to pass on his wisdom to our younger advisers as well as provide the platform for them to forge relationships with professional firms.
In his spare time Nigel enjoys all sports (more watching than playing these days!) He also looks forward to travelling when it is possible, meanwhile he has two young grandchildren to entertain! Nigel is recently married to Lisa (our financial and later life lending adviser) and moved to the outskirts of Norwich during lockdown.
Head of Technical, Lorraine has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years, previously working as a financial planner for a large insurer, a private bank and latterly a small IFA Firm. She holds the coveted gold standard Chartered Financial Planner designation and is a Fellow of The PFS but is no longer a practicing financial planner. Her experience in wealth management and corporate benefits helps her provide training and support to our financial planners and administrators. Complex pensions, defined benefits pension transfers and more complicated investments such as Enterprise Investment Schemes and Venture Capital Trusts are Lorraine’s speciality along with cash flow modelling which gives clients a detailed picture of their assets, investments, income and expenditure.
Outside of work Lorraine’s passion is her Boxer dogs, most weekends she can be found travelling the length and breadth of the country to dog shows with the occasional judging appointment. She sits on the committee of the Essex & Eastern Boxer Club and is Chairman of the Broadland Dog Training Club, which offers obedience training classes to puppies and adult dogs of all shapes, sizes and abilities. Sadly her own dogs remain quite unruly but it plays to her keen interest in all things behavioural whether relating to people or canines. She is a keen Norwich City FC fan although more of an armchair follower these days.
Louise has over 20 years’ experience in financial services working with clients and Financial Planners in London, the South East and East Anglia as an Independent Financial Adviser and a Senior Development Manager for a FSTE 100 Wealth Management company. She holds the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Diploma in Financial Planning and was previously Chairman for the Sussex region of the Life Insurance Association and Liaison Officer for the Personal Finance Society. She has also trained as a Certified Money Coach(CMC)® adding a further dimension to her skills for those wishing to understand the psychological aspects of their relationship to money.
Louise leads and coaches Financial Planners through improving skills and enhancing performance, professionalism and technical knowledge to maximise client service and experience. She believes that if you keep learning you stay young. Outside of work she loves the countryside, travelling and exploring new places.

Marketing & Communications
Ellie Plummer
