Smith and Pinching strengthen their team with Chartered Status

Three Financial Planners from one of the largest firms of independent financial advisers and insurance brokers in East Anglia, The Smith and Pinching Group, have achieved Chartered status designation.

David Pring, David Akehurst and Melvyn Pye have all been awarded the Chartered Financial Planner designation after completing a suite of examinations.

The Chartered Insurance Institute has established industry leading Accreditation standards. The standards reflect the aims of the Chartered Insurance Institute in raising the professional standards within the general insurance and financial services sector so the title ‘Chartered Financial Planner’ was introduced two years ago. At that time just 500 people who had already reached fellowship status through existing exam passes were invited to apply for this designation. With over 35 years of industry experience specialising in pensions, Smith and Pinching’s David Akehurst was one of them.

Chartered titles, awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute are valued as the ‘gold standard’ of excellence, integrity and a mark of professionalism. Nationally there are just 1000 Chartered Financial Planners but with David Pring and Melvyn Pye now completing the trio, members of the public are able to call on the services of Smith and Pinching happy in the knowledge they are speaking to exceptionally qualified professionals.
